Prenatal Strength

Come join other mamas-to-be virtually through the comfort of your own home and prepare your body for Motherhood! Minimal equipment needed or you can use household items :).

Prenatal Strength & Fitness Classes are led by Pre/Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist, Certified Pre & postnatal Coach and mom of 3, Selina Looney These classes are in a small group setting so we can all see each other and interact!

You will be added the Mama-Hood support group with other mamas & mamas to be who are all on this journey to motherhood with you. This is a place where you can ask questions, share recipes Live Q & A with Selina, Live Workouts & so much more.

These classes will help you:

  • Remain active throughout your pregnancy with safe exercises

  • Prepare your body and mind for labour and delivery

  • Work on your core & pelvic floor for delivery and postpartum

  • Reduce common pregnancy aches and pains

  • Give you a head start for your postpartum recovery!

Mama 1

Return To Exercise

At the Mama Movement, we know that having a baby is a pretty big deal!

Come join other mamas virtually through the comfort of your own home and prepare your body for Motherhood! 

 

These classes will focus on creating a connection between your breath, pelvic floor and core while strengthening postural muscles and improving mobility. This class will incorporate functional movements which will translate into your everyday life.

Bodies often feel different after having a baby. Muscles become tight, overstretched and weak during pregnancy. We need to relearn movement patterns and wake up certain muscles to help you feel comfortable, return to pre-baby training or even prepare you for your next baby. 

These classes will help you restore your core and pelvic floor after birth, strengthen your body, return to higher impact exercise, heal your diastasis recti, or whatever other goals you have for your postpartum journey!

You will be added the Mama-Hood support group with other mamas & mamas to be who are all on this journey to motherhood with you. This is a place where you can ask questions, share recipes Live Q & A with Selina, Live Workouts & so much more.

This course is suitable once you have been cleared for exercise postnatally (generally 6 weeks post vaginal birth /12 weeks post caesarean birth) and we cater for all levels of fitness.

Mama 2

Return To Higher Intesity Training

Come join other mamas virtually through the comfort of your own home and train your body for Motherhood!

 

This class is still very much aimed at postnatal rehab and takes into consideration the fact that your body went on an amazing journey and we need to build back up to Return to Higher Impact exercise such as running, jumping, burpees etc. This class is designed for mamas who are a minimum of 3 months postnatal, have completed their postpartum core rehabilitation & have good core control.

This is a Full body Strength & Conditioning Class which will focus on strengthening your core and pelvic floor & will progress each week.  We will go through strategies that will suit you to handle load  & impact, breathing techniques & have you feeling stronger & more confident. 

This class is a bridge between completing Return to Exercise Class and getting you back to your pre-baby high-intensity training

I teach women how to be mentally & physically prepare for birth and how to rehab their bodies safely and effectively in postpartum. Using purposeful exercise, education and support, I prepare women to have a positive journey to motherhood.

Selina is extremely knowledgeable in all areas, and so aware of the body after birth. She instantly knew our fitness levels just by checking on us during exercises and adjusted everyone accordingly.
The circuit is so manageable and as she said, you don't need to do high impact training to work on your core and pelvic floor. The most simple movement works a charm but this, again, is all down to her wealth of knowledge.
Selina is so approachable and puts everyone at ease.
Of course she is a natural with the babies too!
Thoroughly enjoyed it and will take the next course aswell.

I just want to say a big thanks to Selina for all she's done for me and doesn't even realise. I started pregnancy classes with her when I was 32 weeks pregnant and loved every week I went to, to be able to walk into a class in my 3rd trimester and feel confident and able to do everything that Selina showed us was amazing. It was just the exercise I went for and I left feeling happy we had fun and laughed at all the grunts and laughed at just how funny being pregnant was. The inclusiveness and the knowledge to own my pregnant body leaving was just the icing on the cake. when I had my girls I felt a need to be "skinny" straight away, between watching Selina on her Instagram stories and reading her guide all I want is to be a strong mama and to own my amazing body that gave me my gorgeous 3 children. Thank you Selina for all you do, you've put your heart and soul into your business and it shows!  You are absolutely rocking it 💖

Selina is so helpful. I found her classes the perfect way to get back to exercise after my second baby and she tailored everything to what your body is able for. The Return to Exercise guide is excellent and such a brilliant resource for any moms-to-be and moms. What I love about Selina too is that she always follows up and checks-in on you which is great to keep the motivation going especially when on lockdown with 2 kids. I would definitely recommend The Mama Movement!
